Why are lease payments so bad for an S4? (m)

This is appears to be in-lin with the cost of the car and related leasing variables.

I have never been able to find a dealer here that will do that.

I would like to purchase an RS4 at the end of this lease. That is, if the US will allow importation of the car. Which does not look good seeing how they won't even let the TT 3.2 into the states with launch control. Well one can hope.

It's a $50K car - not going to be cheap per month.

My '02 330i was $42K - my lease for 36 mos w/ 15k per year is $585 - $615 w/ tax. Almost $10K more for an S4 - going to be higher.

that's a little high. a 36 month should be ~900 or under with little down.

IMHO, you should never put down a lot on a lease.

Try to work through a lease calculation sheet to see where the money is going- money factor, residual value, etc...
