Sorry if this has been asked and answered, but I'm new to this particular forum group. Was active on A6 Forum until recently placing my order for the S4 Cabrio.
I'm looking forward to seeing the S4 Cab at the Car Show here in Philly this week. Noticed on the pictures posted from earlier car shows that the Cab show car(Sprint Blue with Silver seats/black piping interior) does NOT have the Recaros that are standard in the S4 Sedan.
Also, I'm kind of dissapointed that the ONLY trim color in the interior is BLACK.
No matter what the exterior, roof or seat color you choose, you are locked-in to black for the dash, doors (except for seat-color inserts) and rear toneau(sp?) cover.
The Cab seats look comfy and somewhat aggressive, but not nearly as supportive as the Recaros.
Wonder why no Recaros?

weight and wear issues. In a cab the wear is alot different then a sedan or wagon. That was probably the main driving reason.

rollover related. I'd have to compare the height of the seats but the Recaros might be too tall to put in a Cab.

to put roll protection in the rocaro's would probably be a bitch.

Just a different model, and without the embossed Recaro logo.

but are "delayed introduction". Nobody knows how long a delay that will be and I can't fathom why they would restrict the first batch like this. Maybe Audi is trying to guage the sales response before they open up the options list? Personally, I'm not placing my order until the silver becomes available.

From your screen name, I assume that you have or had an A6 2.7t/6sp. This was also the car that I drove prior to obtaining my S4. We seem to have similiar tastes in cars. You will not believe how much better this car is in almost all aspects. Obviously a cab is a different animal but an S4 all the same. Are you in PA or NJ? I hope you will enjoy your new car as much as most of us do.

I know I am working till noon. Would probably not get there till about 2? My wife doesn't seem to keen about going, but my kids want to go(ages 23&21). Not definite
