Will 225mm width tires fit on stock rims? (more inside)
I have 4 nearly new Michelin P.S. all season tires, 225/40/18, that I used for one winter on my R32 and kept when I traded the car in. I'd like to save a few bucks and mount them on the Avus rims to use over the winter, and then get new rims/tires in the spring. If I can safely use these tires on the stock rims and avoid spending the $$ on yet another set of tires for this winter, I might be able to keep the wife off my back for the wheel/tire deal in a few months. Anybody out there tried this? Are they just too narrow?
