Not sure if I should go with a 245 or 235. Tire Rack recommends a 245/35/19 which should be about 0.2 inches taller than the OEM 235/40/18. Probably not enough to make a difference. Others recommend a 235/35/19. I wouldn't mind having a slightly wider tire to protect the rim a little more. I had a set of falken ziex 512 on my 18s and they were narrower that other comperably sized tires. Any inputs? Thanks....

Sounds like it should clear fine...the offset would be saving you in this case. I had 245/35/19 with 35 offset and it was unbearable...had to switch to 235s. Those extra mm of offset should make it ok though...i think.

Re: not sure if this helps but 245/40/18 on the stock rims 18x8 ET35 required 3mm spacers
I'm confused, the stock 18x8 rims are a 45mm offset. Where were you rubbing? ON the strut or on the outside of the tire on the fender?
