Likely a sh*tload of work. Not worth it unless you've found a rock-cheap 4.2
and STILL gonna be a sh*tload of work. Trans is entirely different as well, bear in mind. Shift linkage, maybe even pedal cluster.

4.2 v8 in a b6
I have a b6 s4 and i had a motor problem the car had bent valves so they gave me a new motor in the car and im taking the old one and gonna redo the vavles and bigger piston i i wanna do a sleeper car with the 4.2 v8 motor
