Yet another Dolphin S4...

After a friend of mine suggested to test drive the S4 I did and instantly knew that this is the car for me. I was looking for a sports car that also qualifies as a daily driver under sometimes rough conditions (I live in the Pacific Northwest). The engine is just amazing. I always liked BMW's inline six for the way it revs through the power band. The S4 V8 matches that easily. I was also amazed how comfortable (relatively speaking...) the suspension setup was while still delivering when driven hard.
I did actually test drive the new Porsche 911 and 911 S before driving the S4. To be honest, I thought that the S4 in terms of fun factor (on public roads) was right in between these 2.
My deal
- Audi S4 manual, Dolphin, Premium, Audio with Sirius, Heated Seats, GG Tax (MSRP $51,820)
- 2003 Audi allroad 2.7 (43,000 miles) traded in ($29,300) for $4,000 above KBB Dealer trade-in value ($25,300)
- Lease 42m, 15K/y, 0 down, $650
- No tax due to tax credit for trade-in
- Money factor 0.00055, 50% residual ($25,360)
I didn't get the best deal on the lease, but the trade-in made it up for me. The car that I picked just came in last Friday (it was still in transit while we were crunching numbers). I'll pick it up Tuesday morning (kind of Christmas present to myself...).

That is similar to the deal I am putting together, although in some ways yours is better...
- Audi S4 manual, Silver, Premium, Audio with Sirius, Heated Seats, GG Tax ($19,900)
- 2004 Audi allroad 2.7 (36,000 miles) traded in ($31,100) for $3,400 what I owe ($27,700)
- Lease 42m, 10K/y, $1300 down, $569
- No tax due to tax credit for trade-in
- Money factor 0.00055, residual ~$27K
Deal isn't final yet. Thinking I will ask for more miles/year...
