Default Yet another Transmission issue...not sure....

First off I have read as many posts as I could find on early trans issues and I'm aware of the service bulletin for the reverse problem. My problem is a little different. I have a early 2004 model...hence, it was delivered in 8/03.

The car has 11,815 origial miles. I have noticed the following:

When cold and shifting into gears, it seems to be a little "ratchety" for lack of a better term. Not hard to shift into gear and not a grind either but not smooth. As it warms up it gets smoother but tends to feel more like a clunk into each gear with one exception...4th...it seems to keep the "ratchety" feel still when shifting in and out of gear.

I have no shifting into reverse issues and no real "grinding"...

The car went into the dealer today for a couple of other warranty issues as well...hoping to "Help" point them in the right direction...

Any ideas? Thanks...

Have you thought about using synthetic lubricant in the trans?

Default Update...not happy...

No actually...DR GP...I have not thought about synthetic. The dealer has had my car for two days now and the mechanic agreed that the grinding into 4th gear is not normal. They are saying they think it has to do with the syncro?
My clutch seems fine. I brought to the dealers attention all the early trans problems and the service bulletin but AOA said no. They will not allow any transmission work because they feel the problem is not consistant. So...there ya go...Now what?
