I would agree, especially given the reputation of the B8 DSG to having a few problems.

Can't speak to V-belt R/R, but would assume it's breakage is not going to wreck the motor, but will probably leave you stranded on the side of the road.

I may sell or trade mine before the big 75k serivce,
