17" VW B6 wheels on an S4?

Ok, I probably won't do this, but I have a set of 17" wheels from a 2007 VW Passat 3.6 4Motion with Blizzaks that only saw one season. I traded in the VW for a 2010 S4 less than a month ago! What a difference. I know it would not look as good with used VW 17s, but could the VW 17s be mounted on the S4? The bolt pattern of 5x112 is the same for each car. Not sure if the 17" wheels will clear the brakes and such? I only have 10K on the S4 tires with stock 18" wheels. I don't want to spring for new winter tires and/or new wheels for winter this time around. Maybe winter won't be like last year
More likely, I'll sell the 17s. Just curious if anyone has thoughts on this...

Thanks for the input. I definitely would not drive through winter with summer tires! I've lived with snow all my life and know better. I have all season tires on the S4.

As long as they clear the brakes, you could go with a spacer/adapter to compensate for a different size center bore. 17" wheels might not look good on an S4. I have a 03 Passat as a DD and the center bore is 57.1. Not sure what an 07 would be. If you need spacers/adapters I bought some from Motorsport-tech.com. I went the opposite way as you. I took my s4 winter wheels and made them my Passat summer wheels. I needed a 15mm spacer to make them flush on my Passat.
Good luck.
Good luck.

Thanks. The more I think about it the more I think I'll just sell the VW wheels and tires. The tires are great but the wheels are a little rough and I agree that 17"s won't look so hot. Will upgrade to a new set of wheels and get summer and winter tires to rotate down the road. Thanks again.
