I love my heaters. In the winter I drive with themon at least 2 and most of the time on 4 but if its really cold ill set it to 6 but after 2-3 mins I need to turn them down.

I have a 2011 S4 with Nappa and my seat heat is excellent. A setting of "4" gets to the point of being unbearable after about 5-10 mins.
My wife has a Lexus RX, and I would say that its about the same.

When we actually experience our traditional Canadian winters my heaters at level 6 don't compare to my wife's Acura RDX on high. The only difference I've found is mine is a continuous heat where Acura cars tend to get really hot for a few minutes and cool down. They continue this cycle throughout your ride.
I know this has been brought up before but maybe the heat difference is because of the seat material. Nappa vs Alcantara... Even the Acura's leather in comparison to my Nappa leather feels extremely thin. Not to mention the Acura has perforated leather.
