I also had a Vette before I bought the S4. Yes, I would agree, the big difference is in the refinement of the S4. My Vette was a 11.4 machine in the quarter and was a real hoot to drive. The S4 is almost as quick off the line (AWD makes a HUGE difference) but the 4k# weight needs to be trimmed to 3.5K. Otherwise, I have a rough time criticizing the S4... it is that good!! (Maybe I should also add this is my 14th new Audi...!)

Have had 11 different Vettes over the years and they are a lot of fun and have a terrific $/performance ratio. Also have had a couple of Porsches and loved them both. They are definitely more expensive to buy and mod, but there is just something about the way they work and drive (especially at the track).

Crazy used car prices (low) on Cayman S and Corvette Z06 right now.
