I did do this at my first 5k maintenance and they stated they heard the noise and then test drive 2 other s4 prestiges and they could hear the same noise and told me its just the car.

Why would it affect the Prestige but not the Prem +? I have a Prestige and haven't noticed any noise. Must have a loose seal.

I have a 2012 S4 Prestige with 500 miles on it. Delivered 9/2/11. I have noticed the wind noise from left driver's mirror from 25 mph to 65-70 mph. There also is a vibration noise from same area. The left dashboard and center console intermittently vibrate and rattle. This is a total disappointment. I had a 2007 A4 sline for 3 yrs and 25000 miles and the only issue it ever had was a defective glove box hinge. I upgrade and get this! What irks me is that Audi had numerous tech bulletins on these issues in 2011 and one would have thought they would have resolved them. I ran my finger over the left mirror signal lense and the right one. On the left the lense sits above the edge of the housing while on the right mirror it sits below the lip. Not great fit and finish.

I have an appointment with my dealer to have it looked at next week. I cringe at th thought of some tech ripping apart my mirror/dash/door to try and fiz this.

As an airline pilot with 30 yrs experience I know vibration/whirring/rattling etc.

All in all a disappointing experience. I realized I missed it on my test delivery ride because I had the radio on.

It drives wonderful and is fun to drive...but these issues are unacceptable.
