Default 2012 S4 Order

A dealer agreed to ordering a 2012 S4 for $2000 of MSRP, i tried to get SA to use off invoice but he wouldn't. Should I take this option (Premium +, B&O, sports differential, two tone seats)?

Thanks

You really can't tell if this is a good deal until you comqpre it with what another dealer will give you. Also, you need to know if the dealer has an allocation or not. Otherwise, you could be waiting some time for your car. Cars, new and used, are in short supply right now and its a sellers market.

They have an allocation and said it would arrive late September, early October. This is the only dealer that would even consider talking about MSRP/Invoice discount. I wish Audi would just put out the pricing info for 2012 already.

$2000 off MSRP is a fair to good deal depending on what part of the country you are in.

Go build a car at Zag.com using your zipcode and it will give you a good picture of what 11's went for. I don't really see anything that would change that for 2012.

I think it depends on whether you're looking in northern or southern Cal. Before I ordered my 2012 I shopped some west coast dealers pretty aggressily. Phoenix and So Cal I had no problem getting 300-500 over invoice. Northern Cal I could not get one that was less than 1000 over invoice. Same in Oregon and Washington. Most were at $1200-1500 over and that was work.

AFS has good rates thru 7/05/11. My dealer said I can't lock on an ordered car unless its less than 30 days out. She is pretty sure given the economy that Audi will put a similar deal out there in July.

I was told by my audi dealer in ny that these rates are only for 2011 models and don't apply to the 2012 s4 which i have ordered.

I was wondering about that. Now I know.

Pentagon Federal Credit Union has 2.49% for 60 months if it helps anybody out.

They are always very competitive with their rates. They were at 2.99% for a long time until recently, so I think you'll be safe.
