2013 ADS Individual setting defaults to "D" vs. "S" after restart, despite settings?

To clarify, while the car is in drive (i.e., "D/S"), pull the shifter in the direction of the the down arrow that appears below the D/S. You do not need to press the release button on the shifter. The shifter will return to the drive position once you release it. Think of it kind of like pulling down the lever on a slot machine.
