Default 2013 Audi RS4 could be coming to U.S.

This article is from the Autoweek magazine I just received in the mail today so I hope this isn't a repost. November 14, 2011 issue.

Interesting that the they claim only an addtional 24hp over the B7 RS4, and the same torque. An APR/Stasis tuned S4 will eat the B8 RS4 if that is the case.

how about a JHM tuned B8 RS4? Or B7 Rs4 for that matter. Since we're tuning things.

$52500 CAD + $1500 APR tune vs $75-80k+ for the RS4 let alone the tune. The 317 ft-lbs of peaky torque curve is also an issue. They sure sound nice though.

May just have found my next car. There's something special about a V8 that isn't going to show up on paper stats.

Certainly is, auditory nirvana. Mind you, nothing a twin turbo wouldn't improve on.

...and keep in mind that Car and Driver tested the RS5 and said it was good for 0-60 in 4.0 seconds flat. It is a very quick car!

I had an RS4 for 5 years and loved it, but was ready to move on. The V8 is/was an awesome engine, but I would rather the new RS4 had the new turbo charged V8 that is coming in the S6, S7 & S8.

Either way, it will be really interesting to see if it comes to the US.
