For those of you ordering or considering 2013's, thought I'd post a poll to see which inlay option looks best. Choices reflect the U.S. order guide...

Carbon Atlas seemed to be clear winner for 2010-2012. But for 2013, wondering if the Piano Black instrument panel surround -- which is only available on cars optioned with the Stainless Steel Mesh inlays -- will tip the scale.

I'm going to be placing my order this week. Unfortunately, Stainless Steel with Piano Black is not an option in Canada. I'm opting for the Carbon Atlas. My C55, which I have driven for seven years, has aluminum trim, so I would like a change. Also, most forum members with Carbon Atlas seem to really like it.

If SS w/ Piano surround was as option in Canada, would you go for it? FWIW, I currently have Carbon Atlas in my 2010 and love it. Going with SS for a change, and because the Piano surround looks much more cohesive and premium than the standard surround. The mesh is textured and also very nice. Pics never did it justice.

Check with dealer again, I already placed an order for a 2013 S4 in Canada with the SS!

When did they eliminate the gray birch wood trim option? that would have been my top choice.

Has that ever been an option on the B8 S4? I didn't see it in 2011 or 2012.

It was an option for MY2010. I believe NWS4Guy has it in his.

Based on the early poll results, it's kinda what I expected. Carbon is still popular, but now only neck-and-neck with the SS Mesh. Oh the allure of a piano black instrument panel surround.
