FWIW I also had a B5 with over 75k miles on it and the Alcantara looked like it did when I got it brand new.

I recently sold my 2010 S4 with grey alcantara. The car had 85,000 km on it when sold. The seats looked as good as they did when I bought the car. This is a very durable material. I went with the nappa this time on my 13 as I like the look of the two tone red black nappa. Either way both are great seats. You can't go wrong with either.
