SmFart,
How much gas is in your tank? And I mean fuel tank not your tank! To me that looks like a fuel starvation issue from that big launch.

Half tank or even less. It happened when the fuel tank was full or nearly empty too. Do you mean that if there is less gas in the fuel tank, the less chances of having the issue will be? If so, I dont understand why the issue never came in the second launch after the first problematic launch.

Personally, I wouldn't be surprised if the tech wasn't completely familiar with the procedure for activating launch control.....

With half a tank it can't be a fuel issue either. I was thinking if you were close to being empty that 'might' happen but there must be something else going on.

Silly question but are you sure you fully took your foot off the brake pedal completely after launch. If there is the slightest brake pressure it will cut off fuel flow. Try flooring it from 3rd and apply the brake slightly while the gas is down and see if you get the same issue.

I am sure that I didnt touch the brake after the launch. I believe the jerky issue was caused by the esp. I kept testing the car these days with a complete esp off (pressing the esp for 5 secs instead of pressing it once), the car ran like a rocket! By doing that, the jerky issue never came so far. However, I started wondering that why pressing the esp once would cause the issue. (esp not completely off?) You know, there are a few videos on youtube about teaching you how to do the launch control. All of them just simply pressed the esp once instead of holding it for 5 seconds, and they didnt have any problems at all. It is kinda weird in my case.

Again, thanks for everyone's useful tips and help, especially Mark.

Just as I suspected, during your first attempts you didn't have the car in the mode that allows launch control.

Glad you were able to prove that to yourself after I suggested it.

Ya man. Thanks so much. Btw, do u know know why other ppl can do the launch without any backtracking while just having one simple click for the esp? I am just curious about that.

Dunno, but it seems like the procedure may be different on the 2013 model.

Why don't you just read the part of your owner's manual that describes launch control and follow those instructions?

Just asking.....<shrug>
