Picked up on Thursday - car is great, except the plastic trim in front of the nav screen makes terrible noise - it seems like putting a piece of felt tape underneath would solve it - but has anyone else dealt with this? Thanks!

I have that noise too. When I push in on the surround trim the noise stops. I'm planning to have the dealer look at it pretty soon but I've been waiting to see if anything else crops up. I'm at just over 1000miles and 4 weeks of ownership.

FYI, your warranty covers stuff like this for up to 5000 miles/12 months. I'd have them look at it well before the 5000 service.

Unfortunately my experience with dealers being able to fix noises on other cars is less than ideal. I will definitely have them try but was hoping someone here either fixed on their own or had dealer do it so I could provide them validation that it isn't "just the way it's supposed to be - turn the radio on and you won't hear it!" - Yup, I have had dealers give me that kind of response.

Since I can silence the noise with simple hand pressure, I'm guessing that a piece of felt tape like you're considering might work. I picture removing the dash panel, applying some foam strip from behind somewhere, then replacing the panel. Since the car is brand new I'm going to let the dealership do it though, and check for any TSB's while they're at it.
