Here in Canada tint limit varies with each province. Two provinces don't allow any tint on front side windows. Looks kinda f$&ky when you see a partially tinted car. Anyway I live here in Ontario and side window tint is allowed. I went 20%. I think it is a shade too dark for me. However looks great. No issues with the cops so far. One thing to consider is the rear view and side view mirrors which dim when cars are behind at night. I have to shut that feature off as the tint makes the objects in the mirrors to dim. I feel it is dangerous. Anyway that is my two cents.

i currently have 5% in my rear windows on my mazda 6, and i can tell u that as much as i like having my windows darked out. its almost impossible to see and reverse at night. especially if you wanna fit in a tight parking spot, you cant see anything behind you. that said, i would not be getting it on my s4 and i wouldnt recommend ppl getting it either. trust me, it sucks when you cant see behind you.

Love the look. Just be careful and learn how to use your side mirrors!
It is sunny like 350 days a year here. There are only like 3 foul weather days.
My 35% is not dark at all - you can see right into the car. I could have easily gone 20% if that sort of thing mattered to me. I went to Signature Glass in Costa Mesa to get this special ceramic film called Wincos. They charged $350, whereas my Huper Optik was $550.

I'm glad I live in central FL where they don't pay much attention to tint. I've been pulled over a few times in my mustang and I've got 15% on the sides and back. My solution has been to just roll both windows all the way down immediately anytime I'm pulled. Since 15% is legal on the back and rear windows, I'm covered pretty good. I'll be putting 15% on when I get my S4 also. It's almost too light from the outside in the daytime here, but I wouldn't want to go any darker as 15% is about the point where night time visibility starts to get impaired when backing up or checking blind spots.
