Default Is 41psi too much??

Is 41psi too much for 255/35 R19?
Mine came with Continental ContiSportContact 3

Already posted another thread about uneven tire wear on the outside (more on the right side comparing to the left)
Will do next rotation (cross) in 2k miles when I hit 10k total.
Expect the tires to last at least 25k...

Cheers!!

Can't speak to the wear. However, asked the same pressure question a while back: 41 seems high even though it's factory recommended. Limited consensus is high psi for mileage. I run 35/37 even with the low pros.

41 psi is probably appropriate with a full load or maybe on a track but seems high for everyday. My A6 came with tires inflated to 41 and the tires wore out in the middle first, which is a sign of over inflation. I run my S4 at 39 in front and a little less in the back. Rotate every 5K miles.

Fabio, open your Owner's Manual and you'll find comprehensive inflation pressure information including NORMAL load condition data.

If I'm not wrong the stick in the door says 41/41 and the owner's manual 39/33 or something like that....
My intent was to get some user experience and how they feel/like driving

Thanks!

The door sticker states it's for full loads, i.e. driver, 4 passengers and a trunk full of luggage. I usually start with the manual's recommendation and tweak up from there usually ending up somewhere between the two. (Comfort vs. handling).

I run 39 psi. But if you went to run at 41 it will be fine. Your ride will be a little more harsh though.

As others said 41 on the door sticker is for full load.
I used 38/35 for 17k miles (5k rotations) and mine still wore faster in the center...almost at the treadwear bars (mostly highway). I only expected 20k out of them an already have the replacement set of Pilot Super Sports in the garage.

I've run 41 front and rear year round on both summer and winter tires since November 2010 and no unusual wear problems. Since I'm on 245/40-18s on OEM suspension (ADS), there ride quality has been decent as well. That's my experience anyway.
