When I took mines last week I asked if they rotated the tires and my SA said yes. I should have marked my tires to make sure as the service contract only mentions Audi 5k service and didn't provide a breakdown of services performed other than LOF parts.
I have a question for others. I looked at the service maintenance schedule reset through MMI and my dealership scheduled the next oil change in 5k miles and the next service schedule at 15k miles. WTF? Are they just trying to get me to take my money and change synthetic oil in a German car every 5k miles? I checked on Audi's website and the 2010 maintenance schedule is 5k, 15k, 25k, 35k, and 45k. Every 10k miles and each includes oil change, not every 5k miles. Is there a way I can reset this myself?

I thought I read somewhere that the oil change interval can be reset w/out a VAG-COM but that the service interval (which was previously believed to only be resettable by a dealership) requires one to be reset. I'd have to find that info again to be sure.
Either way, it's a good idea to change your oil every 5k miles anyway for the sake of longevity. My oil gets changed every 5k but since I have AudiCare, I'm only doing it myself every 10k miles. If you don't plan on keeping the car very long tho, 10k-mile OCIs will be fine I guess.

I drive mostly highway miles and not much stop and go. I don't track my car or high rev it. I think 10k miles is acceptable for my situation. In my BMW e92, my first oil change wasn't until 18k miles, but the car ran fine and the computer never told me to change until it got to that point. I was afraid for the engine, but the service department told me not to worry about it and that it can actually go a little longer.
Has anyone submitted their oil to blackstone labs for analysis at 5k miles? I know that Audi is known for burning through oil, but is it still like that for our S4's? I don't mind paying for it, but I certainly wouldn't if its not needed and that the only winner is the oil company and the dealership.

If you were in town mostly, then the 5k might make sense. The Audi info seems to indicate mileage or 1year, which ever comes first. The new synthetic oils should be able to easily handle 10k miles. It is dinosaur oil that is more likely to need changing every 5k miles. Also, since your car does not see that much cold weather, the oil should last longer.

5k is free (included with your purchase/lease). Hence AudiCare starts at the next scheduled interval after the 5k.
