Default A4/S4 brochure availability

A few months ago, my local dealer in MN told me that Audi doesn't send them paper brochures any longer because everything is online. I thought that was strange, but I thought plausible given the green movement...

Much to my surprise, when I visited a dealer in another state, they had a stack of A4/S4 brochures like you would expect (along with an S4 in stock, which was cool because I hadn't seen one up close before). I now have an S4 on order from a different dealer, but just can't believe that original dealer would be so short sighted that they'd try to save a few bucks by not having brochures! I guess judging by their pricing tactics - "we sell these at sticker price" - it shouldn't surprise me that they'd hold out on brochures!

Last Friday I was handed an A4/S4 brochure that's about 30-40 pages thick from my dealer.

It really is useless to me since you can see so much more online.

Audi is trying to go that way, BMW already has (at least in my area) with only doing online brochures.

I prefer the print rather than online. Same with magazines.

I got a full A4/S4 brochure from Maplewood Audi about a month ago. I had to ask for it explicitly and the sales guy was reluctant to give one up... "Well, I suppose since you're a current Audi owner I can give you one."

The demo car was out of gas so I got about a 30 second test drive and then when I was ready to order about a week later, their refusal to come down more than $500 off sticker led me to buy elsewhere.
