LOL, crash test requirements.

Oh well, looks like red/black it is. I think I'd do it that way just for the red contrast stitching.

I believe this includes dash leather which would mean another round of crash testing, thanks to NHTSA. Therefore not available for North Americca.

Seems cooler to touch than the leather in other rides. At times the light is reflected different off Alcantra than the surrounding leather, giving the Alcantra a lighter color. Which looks fine to me. If there was a pewter grey Alcantra and grey/ brown Alcantra option... might make for better combo's with the dash trim options

quick question to all of you. i picked up my car last night and was told by the SA that if someone with wet jeans sits in the car it will bleed onto my silver alcantara. im hoping she means a person who goes swimming in jeans, not a person who runs out of the house when it rains? hard to believe it would get ruined that easy.

anyway i scotchgarded her last night and let the car air out some.

You would have to be a complete bonehead to allow anyone to sit in your car with wet jeans etc. I am not implying you are that bonehead. Sounds like your sales person gave you a sales pitch which obviously worked as you had her scotch guarded. A leaky tampon would stain your seats as well.

I am at 22,000 k and the seats look as they did when I picked her up, 100%.

I also bought the scotchgard before pick up for added protection.

But in your rant ( i know bout ur situation..sucks) you didnt answer my question..if its raining you jeans will get wet..not talking drenched, what will happen?

I had damp pair of jeans that I threw in the laundry bin on accident with some white socks... the next day the socks had a blueish tint to them. Not horrible, but noticable. Denim is a bitch when it comes to bleeding.
