try to see if you can put down multiple security deposits instead, bmw allowed up to 7 each bringing the money factor down by .0007
other than not earning interest there is no risk since it is refundable.
depending on the state you're in there are also tax advantages.
eg in CA if you put "money down" or really cap reduction it is taxed vs security deposit isn't so in addition to saving interest you're saving on taxes

Or just dont lease......I wish I could drive that little in one year where a lease would be practical, but never in my life have I driven less than 15k miles in a year.
Around 3 months now and just did the 5k miles service.

I do around 15k per yr and that's what my lease is. I get bored with a car every 3 years.
