I'm in STL, have 18s with Conti Extreme Contact DWS for "winter" and the stock summers for the rest. I also previously had an A4 with the DWS all year round. Great tires.

I put Michelin Pilot Sport AS plus-es on last fall, intending to buy new wheels for this past summer but time got away from me and I ended up running the Michelins all summer with no problems whatsoever, they are great tires. Not for the track, obviously, but around town and on the highway they are more than acceptable. Still tons of tread left at 15,000 miles too, they look new.

My wife has DWS on her B7 A4 3.2. Soft handling but very safe in bad weather and light snow.
I prefer the summer/winter set up on my B8 2.0 sports package.
My beef with all seasons is by the third winter the snow tread is gone and you need new tires for that season. Even the second winter is inferior to the first.
The danger with good tires is you might stop too fast and get rear ended by ad SUV with worn all seasons. I won't let anyone ride my tail.

Like I responded in the other thread, Ive been running 19" DWS since I got the car and they are fantastic all around. We had one of the worst winters here in NJ last year and I never felt like I was in trouble or got stuck once. Very satisfied with these tires and would absolutely get them again.
People complain about dry handling but these are not track tires. They are fine for back road romps every now and then. If you are going to drive it like you stole it every day then fine, these are not your first choice. If you drive like a normal adult on your daily commute, these are perfect.
