I'm curious if anyone has both of these options on their car and also uses a Radar Detector. Is it even possible or do you get way too much interference from the sensors of both systems? If it is possible, which brand would handle the challenge best?

Disable POP detection (not really used and illegal to issue tickets with) and you should be good on any of the belscorts or the V1

Thanks Helix. I came across a thread while searching that mentioned disabling POP to avoid false alarms with the Side Assist but I haven't found any discussion related to Adaptive Cruise. Do you have Adaptive Cruise?

I know the adaptive cruise or lane departure warning systems on Mercedes and Infiniti sets my V1 off. Side assist from other vehicles definitely does. Personally I don't think I've ever even seen an Audi with adaptive cruise in my area.

My Passport 9500ix does not get bothered in any way by SA.
i also used this same detector in my Infiniti M45 that had radar based cruise control and again it was not bothered in any way by the radar from the car.
I have POP turned on and my B8 w/ SA is no intrusion.

Infiniti's adaptive cruise uses laser technology not radar. That might explain why it does not trip you Escort. The fact that the laser does not splatter near or point directly at your detector might explain why you are not getting a warning.
On the otherside, everyone around you with a V1 is gettting a laser false alarm from your Infiniti. I run the Blinder M47 nd some of the large Infiniti SUV's will set my jammer off. All of the Infiniti's with adaptive cruise give a reading on the V1, but just the laser warning.
I know tractor and trailers equipped with the Eaton VORAD system (a system similar to adaptive cruise and blind spot warning) will give V1 a radar false alarm.
I have not disabled the POP function on my V1, so I can not say if that prevents the false alarms.

GPS-based lockout is well worth the extra money for the 9500ix. Pretty much eliminates falses once you've traveled a route a few times.

The GPS is worth the extra over the 8500.
If GPS is not a feature you want then consider the redline. If they add GPS to redline I'm upgrading.
They did just improve performance of the 8500 by a significant margin. I bet it performs close to the 9500 now.
I've read several reports of V1 and SA issues...nothing about Audi cruise tho.
Higher end Escort products have not been bothered by SA.
