Default Anyone get an S-Tronic fluid change at the dealer?

I called for a quote and was told only around $450 (Fluid, filter, & labor), when I thought it would be closer to $800.

I got it done as part of Audicare, not sure of pricing. I'm sure an Indi could do it for 20% less.

It's funny...when I bought the car they said it was not covered under Audicare...I see now it is...too bad for me I guess.

A lot of dealers apparently aren't aware that Audi decided to cover the first change for the S-tronic under Audi care. Definitely made the Audi care worth while. My dealer is a Penske dealership and I had to show her my letter from Audi stating that they were now covering it.

Just had my 35K service completed at the dealer. DSG Tranny Fluid Change WAS included in Audi Care. Precisely why I purchased it at the time of buying new.

The dealer I used FORGOT to do the DSG service when my car was in for the 35K maintenance, so I had a different dealer take care of that at the 45K mark instead.

I don't go to that first dealer often, and this is an example of the reasons why.

BTW - it WAS covered by AudiCare.

-Man! Why am I not surprised at this!!! If it wasn't for me being a "car nut" and asking constantly or telling my dealer stuff (like TSBs) I would be getting screwed constantly!! Can you imagine the "regular people" and how much they ARE getting screwed at Audi Dealers!!!!

Porsche PDK fluid change interval is 120,000 miles or 200,000 km. Ours 55,000 km which is complete bullsh)t. BMW dual clutch fluid I hear is lifetime. I would have thought the Porsche would have been more expensive to maintain referring to the tranny only.

The DSG fluid change was the main reason I opted for Audi Care. If the package was simply oil changes, lube, and inspect it wouldn't be worth it. I'm still on the fence with Audi Care Plus. Need to price out the plug change at 55K to see if that's worthwhile.
