I wonder if that would work better if you pre heated the fluid to 40C?

Look at the whole thread, there is a link posted about the techncal details of the DSG, which I will repost here; http://www.audizine.com/forum/showth...ic-%28DL501%29

I did find a filter/strainer listed in http://www.alldatadiy.com/ Part # 0B5325429E list $ 62.00

Like this: http://www.ecstuning.com/Audi-B8_S4-...sion/ES289203/

Interesting. Dealer said there is definitely no filter to change.
I wonder if the part listed might be more similar to an oil pump pickup strainer than a paper or cotton filter element.
The lack of filter might also explain the 35k mile fluid change interval.

I think it is just a strainer, but hard to tell from the image.

Im new to Audi, so please someone is explain to me, why would you need to change auto tramsmition fluid at just 35K miles!?

I understand, I will definitely have to change the fluid at some point but most likely at 60K or even at 90k miles...

Perhaps it is not "needed" but "recommended" with the wet clutch system in the S-tronic it is better to change fluid than to change transmission.
(Audi recommended interval is 35/75/115k miles.)

Welcome to Audi...this isn't a Japaneese Car...get ready to open up your pocketbook because I came from a long history of Japaneese cars myself - Personally, for $450 (peanuts) every 35K miles to change the Transmission fluid which is recommended by Audi I wouldn't hesitate since a new Transmission is around 13K! Plus not doing so may void any warranty work or cause issues down the road or affect resale value. Just my 2 cents.

Last week, I was quoted $820.00 for Audicare when I purchased a new 2013. I had just paid invoice + $150 for the car so I thought that was reasonable.
