Anyone used zag to get quote and choose dealer?

Thanks for the info and I'm not all that upset about the deal I got, just that I happen to live in a competitive market where dealers aren't willing to accept offers that I hear about all the time in the forums.
On a side note, it looks like we ordered around the same week and have almost the exact same car coming aside form the lane assist!

Zag
I recently used this service and it was a piece of cake. My local dealer was asking full retail and I got it from a dealer about 120 miles away for 1000 over invoice. The one I bought was the only one they had and had just arrived.

I haven't bought an S4 (yet... saving money), or used Zag to buy a car, but I've played around with the site a few times to price out an S4. I've gone through the whole pricing thing a few times and I've noticed that dealers in my area seem to either appear or disappear. As of now there are no "local" dealers that offer Zag. A few months ago 2 of them did. Before that only one did.
Very strange.

Well, zag "certifies" them somehow, maybe they failed the certification. Probably more likely is some of the dealerships didn't live up to the "guaranteed price" deal on a car they can generally easily sell for full MSRP, opting to go for the extra cash immediately insytead of considering the impact on future business.

I searched, but didn't find anything. It seems that a lot of people are using zag to get pricing info but I haven't read of anyone actually getting quotes and going to one of the dealers that quotes the price. Is this true or did anyone go all the way through with zag? If so, how did it work out? If not, why not?
Thanks.
Thanks.

For ZAG, there are no discounts for the 2010 Audi S4 in northern California. It will list dealers and say they will provide the price, which means $250 to $500 off MSRP, if you ask for it.
In southern (LA) Calififornia, the 2010 Audi S4 discount ranges around $1600-$2100 discount off the MSRP.
In New York zip 10007, I get a range of $1800 to $2800 off the MSRP for the same 2010 Audi S4 configuration as above.
The discount is definitely geographical.

Oh I know many do honor the Zag price, actually I just ordered mine today using the zag price, but he was asking about dealerships that at one time quoted Zag stuff but which now seem to have disappeared.
$300 over invoice is phenomenal with Zag, I got $1200 here in DC and I have loyalty money so I'm actually $300 under invoice but still...it would've been worth my while to take the train up and rent a car to get out to the island. Oh well, it is what it is. I'm happy.
