Arriving in port this week
Received a call on Monday that my car is scheduled to arrive in port this week and that I should get the car the week of 8/15. The port is less than 200 miles from my dealer so is there a good chance that I receive the car earlier than the estimated date? Not sure if the dealer is sandbagging when giving an ETA or if that's how long it usually takes.
Thanks.
Thanks.

To OP, there are several factors that can add or subtract days to your wait.
For example. My car arrived in Port last Friday, 7/29 but was not released to carrier until Monday 8/1. They have to clear customs and it was the weekend. Both of these things may have slowed delivery by a couple days. Then it's loaded on a truck and on it's way to dealer. If the dealer can fill up the truck at port with 9 cars, then it has a straight shot to my dealer. If a couple cars on the truck are going to Salt Lake city or Spokane WA, this will delay arrival at my dealer from 1-3 days. This is why Audi gives a range of conservative dates. They would rather set your expectation for 8/15 and have your car arrive on 8/10 rather than the other way around.
So far my dates have all been early. I was given a date in June when I ordered of 8/29 at dealer. It looks like it's going to be around 8/10.
I can't sleep more than 5 hours, I am so excited!

my dealership was about 300 miles from the port, and it took 10 days just for my car to clear customs, then another 8 days after it was released to the shipper. Car arrived at the port 6/13 and arrived at the dealership 7/1

Well guys, we need High quality High Def Pictures of your 2012 Monsoon Gray S4s when they arrive this month. Mine is still coming end of Sept or early October, so it will be nice to see great photos

I hadn't thought about it, but I could ask her to let me know when it arrives and I could stop by to see it - the dealership is on my way home. I can take some nice shots for you

Please do!
I am chomping at the bit, so to speak. I was thinking of camping out on I5 and watching for the truck. I could be like the guy in the Audi commercial who climbs up the side of the truck and into an Audi only to find someone else already sitting there. With my luck the truck comes across 90 instead of up up I5 and I get arrested for loitering on an Interstate
