I am a new proud owner of a 2010 yellow S4! It is a fantastic car, the best 4-door sedan you can buy for $50K! I live in the Chicago area, and have seen quite a few S4/S6 and even a few RS4 and RS6s, so I was wondering if there is an Audi car club, or social events with Audi enthusiasts meeting to talk about cars...

Congrats! Chicago does seem to be an Audi paradise (lived in NYC before and saw far less). I've seen them all here: s4/s5/s6/s8/rs4 and even 3 different R8 5.2's. Don't know about any social events...but I would be interested too if you hear of any.

I searched around nationally, and found the best deal here locally at Feltcher Jones (http://www.fjaudi.com/index.htm). I worked with a sales guy name David, his # is 312-628-4861. I managed to get $300 over invoice for a new 2010 S4 order. I placed the order on December 31st, 2010, so that probably helped me get the best price (the end of the month, and close to the end of the fiscal year, January 5th)! I also got a $750 rebate for owning a BMW, so in the end, I walked away with a new factory ordered S4, yellow color, with a NAV, and 4 year maintainance, including taxes, and all fees, for about $50,700.

The Audi dealer in Schaumburgh offered $500 over invoice, the one in Glenview and Highland Park did $1000 over invoice, and the one in Westmont did $1200 over invoice through the Costco program. I found a few on the lot, out of state, that were willing to do under invoice. The best one I found was in NY, and was willing to do $2K under invoice and free transport, but with all the options, the car was still getting to be around $55K out the door (over $4K more than I got it order with just the minimal options I cared about). I spent about 3 weeks looking around, and talking to the Chicago area dealers on multiple occasions, haggling on the prices, before making the final decision. So far, I am 100% happy with my decision. The order went smooth. The car came within 2 weeks of the promissed date. The price and fees were all as expected. And the car was flawless with only 10 miles on the odometer. I now have 6K miles on it, did the 5K service, and everything is perfect!!!

There is an Audi Club in Chicago. I haven't checked it out yet but might do an autocross this fall.
