I have thought about getting it but I always do my own services. It seemed to me that the oil change/cabin air filter etc is something basic and not worth the money. Since the car is under warranty everything else that they might "catch" on the service intervals would be covered anyway--like a recall or something. The oil change on this thing is about as easy as I've seen them on all of my cars aside from the 2006 BMW 325Ci. Plus the Audi dear is one hour each way so there's about $23 in gas for the trip.

Can you explain? I have a 2011, with the DSG, and there is no DSG service or spark plug change during the first 45,000 miles: Below is list of things they take care of:
15k= oil and dust/pollen filter change, $405
25k= oil change, $215
35k= oil and dust/pollen filter change, $405
45k= oil change, $215
15k= oil and dust/pollen filter change, $405
25k= oil change, $215
35k= oil and dust/pollen filter change, $405
45k= oil change, $215
I had mine done on my 2010 and I'm getting my second one done in about 6 months. This was a major miss in the service manual for those of us that own 2010's but it has since been corrected. What are you looking at that says there is no DSG service for your 2011?
But the Audi microsite has it corrected.

This is a misprint in whatever you are looking at. There definitely IS a DSG service required at 35,000 miles.

They are wrong. There is absolutely a 35K DSG service, the oil alone is ~350 bucks, it takes 2 types of oil, one is pretty standard ATF, the other is a spendy special hypoid oil.

Cristo...nothing against that dealership...but they don't know what is required at 35,000.
I would take that list you have and tell them if that is the price for the Audi required service at 35,000 miles then I want an appointment. Get it in writing.
Maybe they will give you a discount on the DSG service once you walk in with a copy of that micro site I sent you.
I promise you...that dealership is wrong. The B8 S4 DSG must be serviced at 35,000 miles. You don't want to mess around with not servicing this transmission correctly. Don't let that dealership steer you into neglecting your DSG. Replacement DSG's are not cheap and you will most likely be waiting for parts from Germany.

With this new bit of info, it makes the cost of Audicare more reasonable. It would be perfect if spark plugs were covered under the 35k too.

This is great info, thanks guys. I bought my 2010 used and didn't know about this. 20K of driving fun until needed, but good to know. I've printed a copy for my file.

+1 I agree ...I mean come on guys..there has been so much whining around here lately! Wah.. Wah.. Wah... This car is amazing in all aspects! If you can afford to buy it MAINTAIN IT! Short story...really my cousins own a Foreign Car place and since the downturn in the economy 08' most high line cars have been really neglected out there as far as "maintenance." I would not purchase a used car from 09-11'!! Just from the things they have told me. They do high volume fixes on High End Cars BMW, Audi etc..... people have not been keeping up on their schedules. Unless you really know the owner and they have records I wouldn't touch it with a 10ft pole! I mean the DSG in this car...if it goes out of warranty would be like 10K or so I am guessing...somebody correct me if I am wrong here.

I think the problem here is the why, not the what. The dealerships are clearly over-charging us just because we drive "luxury" cars, as in, taking advantage of the situation. If the labor was over 9000 times harder to perform on than a Ford, then the costs would be justified. Obviously, it's not because people are still able to successfully perform the maintenance on their own.
