That seems like an expensive way to sell the 1.6/2.0 A3/A4 TDIs, which are still a pretty niche market. It may echo an overall larger away from gasoline to diesal. But, I think it's more about selling all Audis: "Vorsprung durch Technik" (Advantage or Advancement through Technology)
