Correct.

Expect the residuals to drop next month. Availability is getting tighter.

Does Audi offer a MF reduction for loyalty like BMW (I think)? What about Audi MSDs? Thanks

Am I the only one that thinks Audi's residuals are getting too low for them to be competative? Was helping my parents shop for a new SUV and we were looking at a 2011 Q5. I don't remember the exact residual at the time (3 months ago) but it was hovering in the mid-40s, which made the price too high for a car that costs < $40K. We wound up finding that they could get an ML350 (bigger, more expensive car w/ more standard AND more options) for less, so that's what they went with. Since 1980 my parents have been avid Audi fans and have always had at least one in the garage at any given time. Due to the recent trends in pricing this now marks the first time I can ever remember that neither of them have an Audi.

A lot of the Audis are in short supply right now. There is really no reason to give them a way. A more realistic residual for the consumer is a much better lease all-round anyways and gives them more options during and at the end of the lease.

People put too much focus on the price and not the product. It's not a good deal if you don't like driving it.

It doesn't make much sense in light of the fact that CPO 2010 S4's are selling at 90+ percent of the price of a new 2011.

Something is seriously out of balance somewhere in the food chain.
