Audi Auto Lease Programs – Effective February 2010

These lease rates and residuals are provided courtesy of LeaseCompare.com by dealer partners and are NOT for redistribution.

This information is to help you evaluate different lease offers from your Audi dealer and an independent leasing company.

Here’s the scoop

1) Use the data listed below each vehicle model, and the Lease Formula at the bottom of this page, to calculate the manufacturer (captive) lease payment.

2) Compare Vehicle Pricing and Bank Lease programs by clicking on the vehicle model name to see instant lease payments. When available, specials are shown with payments.

3) You’ve done your homework, now choose the best lease and start driving your car!

NOTE: Choosing a lease program, captive or bank, with the lowest money factor and a realistic residual value will provide you with the best overall lease deal.

Message me for help on using this data or leasing in general.

2010 Audi S4 Premium Plus Sedan
24 Month – Residual 59% of MSRP – .00116 Base Rate
36 Month – Residual 52% of MSRP – .00116 Base Rate
48 Month – Residual 45% of MSRP – .00219 Base Rate

2010 Audi S4 Prestige Sedan
24 Month – Residual 57% of MSRP – .00116 Base Rate
36 Month – Residual 50% of MSRP – .00116 Base Rate
48 Month – Residual 43% of MSRP – .00219 Base Rate

Residuals posted are for 15K miles/year. Add 2% to Residual for 12k mi/yr and 3% for 10k mi/yr on all terms. AFS acquisition fee is $625.

Lease Payment Calculation Formula:
(Cap Cost – Residual Value) / Term = Depreciation
(Cap Cost + Residual Value) X Base Rate = Interest
Depreciation + Interest = Base Monthly Payment

Terms Used in Lease Formula:
CAP COST = Vehicle Purchase Price (amount financed)
RESIDUAL VALUE = MSRP (window sticker) X Residual %
TERM = Length of Lease in Months (3 years = 36 months)
BASE RATE = Dealer’s Buy Rate (dealer can mark this up for profit)

NOTE: The manufacturer (captive) lease programs provided are for reference only. Base Rates may vary by region. Your dealer has the option of offering you a higher rate.

Those rates are actually pretty good. By my math I could lease a Prestige with driver assist, leather and sport diff for 36 months (10K miles per year) for $723.02 after my various discounts.

Premium Plus w/leather+sport diff + Nav + B&O for $641 per month.

Both with zero down.

CAnyoncarver,
How much is the loyalty discount on S4 leases, $1500? If so, that's a nice discount. I was trying to get my wife to lease a 2010 A4 CVT Premium, so by the time I return my 335i in June, I could take advantage of loyalty money for an S4 lease. However, she was adamant that she wanted a Bimmer, so we got her a demo 2009 328i automatic this past weekend.

The S4 lease residuals are certainly better than A4 Premium+ or Prestige, but I wouldn't call them good. Take a look at February residuals for BMW 335i/xi, S4's direct competitor. Unless you go with a 48 month lease, BMW's residuals are much higher. MB C-Class and Infiniti G37 also have much higher residuals than A4/S4. It doesn't look like I will be getting an S4. I can afford the higher S4 payment, but can't justify it based on the slight edge it has over my current car. I will just try to buy out my car with a $4-5K discount off my residual.

2010 BMW 335i Sedan
24 Month – Residual 66% of MSRP – .00180 Base Rate
36 Month – Residual 60% of MSRP – .00180 Base Rate
48 Month – Residual 40% of MSRP – .00245 Base Rate

2010 BMW 335xi Sedan
24 Month – Residual 66% of MSRP – .00195 Base Rate
36 Month – Residual 60% of MSRP – .00195 Base Rate
48 Month – Residual 39% of MSRP – .00245 Base Rate

The loyalty incentive is $750 for leases and the security deposit is waived. For purchases the loyalty incentive is $1500.

I do not get 6% off on BMWs (whereas I do on Audi) and it would be difficult to negotiate one down that far in my area where there are very few dealers.

BMW residuals are very good. However, I am more than happy to pay $100 more a month to drive an Audi. I am a bit of an Audi loyalist and think that currently they are trouncing BMW in a number of areas including overall performance.

I do agree that if you find both cars appealing the BMW makes more sense financially due to the higher residuals and "free" maintenance.

For fun I ran the numbers on a BMW 335XI with $2000 in discounted pricing. I equipped the car similarly to the Audi S4 Prestige, so I put in M sports package, cold weather package, Nav, iPod adapter, etc.

With the much MUCH higher money factor on the BMW I am coming up with a price of $735.

So, in the end, the BMW isn't really any cheaper to lease than the Audi due to the higher money factor.

If you don't need Quattro and are willing to ditch a few other features (nicer sports package, etc) the BMW becomes more attractive.

It will become even better later in the year. As the newer revamped 3 series becomes available in the fall. BMW will need to sweeten the pot to get buyers into the last remaining E90's E92s and E93's. Otherwise potential buyers will just hold off for the F30/31/32.

Does that include tax?

I'm getting a price of ~$725/month (with 7% tax) only by discounting the MSRP around $7,000!

Yeah...I just got offered $799/mo (P+, nav, 19, b&O, leather with 6.5% tax included)on a $50850 cap cost car ...the implied MF he quoted was 0.00166, quite different than here.

A prestige came to $867/mo. I feel like I'm getting hosed somehow.
