Hi, I have an Audi S4 Avant B8.5 2013 - and Audi have text me saying it's due for a gearbox oil change. They also sent another text saying the brake fluid needed changing. Just wondering if this is absolutely necessary? Thanks

You must be from somewhere in EU or UK or Ireland because you own an Avant. Here in North America, Audi recommends changing the brake fluid every two years regardless of mileage.

As for the S-Tronic Gearbox Oil, it needs to be changed every 55,000 kms and thereafter every 60,000 kms. The maintenance schedule did not specify a time element so it is based on mileage only.

Thanks for you reply plat27265. Yes, based in London, UK. Looks like I need to change both although I had the discs and pads replaced about 7 months ago - you'd have thought the brake fluid would have been replaced then. Thanks again. Jason
