I thought this was interesting. Especially the 1/4 mile times. Go Audi.

I never take fastestlaps data as (even remotely) definitive, but they seem about right on their times here. A slower lap time is also not surprising for a RWD car with an open diff -- I still don't understand why BMW didn't bother with an optional LSD on the 335.

I think it was eithet MT or Car and driver that placed 2010 S4 as "somewhere in between a 335i and an M3." It beat the 335i in every category, even in braking.
Interior, well, we all know the S4 blows the 335i away but so many car interiors exceed what BMW has to offer. But BMW is on the verge of a major Interior overhaul. History shows that BMW eventually (and reluctantly) changes their stubborn ways
So in a couple of years, expect BMW to leap ahead, then AUDI will counter ... and so on . . .

I have seen all the comparison on the S4 to the 335i..but wanted to see how it would do against the 335is which I thought would be faster. It is nice to know that unless you come across a M3 you should be able to hold your owne against all 3 series.

I was in the same boat. Looked at both etc etc there are countless threads on here but end of the day.
S4-better interior and MMI is on par with new Idrive software
335iS- better road feel and handling feel
just comes down to personal preference in my opinion. Living in the NE i needed the quattro so it helped out muy decision
