B8.5 Fog Xeonmatch DIY/Pics
I know a few guys have put similar posts recently. Here is a quick breakdown of what to do for the B8.5 (slightly different than the B8 as mentioned by others so I have pics to show)
I used this site for the main instructions: http://www.audienthusiasts.com/Proje...vinglight.html
This is incredibly easy. It's simply plug and play with the bulbs once you unscrew the 2 T25 Torx screws.
The difference for the B8.5 is that you need to unclip the wires from the bulb FIRST before you twist it 45° CCW to take it out (see yellow boxes in pic below).
Hoen Xeonmatch H8 Bulbs
Tools (Note the Stock white bulb and blue-ish Xeonmatch bulb)
Unscrew the 2 screws in the wheel well
Unhook the cable from the bulb (yellow)
Then unscrew and remove the bulb (red)
I only had my iPhone for pics, but you can kinda see the difference in the pics below. I guess it didn't help that it was the middle of the day!

Navy, is that an H8 bulb or an H11?

Is there a way to "void" the front fogs?
The Xenon look is indeed nice, but IMO it would be even better to completely get rid of them by installing some kind of grill that replaces the stock fog light grills.
The RS4 also has to live without them

Look at the small yellow box inside the larger yellow box in the picture above. You need to either push or pull up slightly the tab there (I think you need to lift it a little) while simultaneously pulling down on the cable and the connector should release. Lift up on it with your thumbnail while applying slight pressure with the bottom of your hand on the cable and you should be good to go.

yep slightly pull OUT that little tab at the bottom (shown in the smaller yellow rectangle above) and then pull the cord DOWN as you're pulling the tab out. You only need to pull the tab slightly - like 2-3 millimeters - for it to release.
