I don't know why but I feel that the image from my backup camera has all of sudden become grainy. I think it used to be crystal clear, but now all of sudden it's different. But the thing is I am not sure if it's just me or the camera has actually become grainy. Has anyone else experienced similar thing?

Happens to mine too in my S5. Sometimes grainy, sometimes dark and all I see is the grid lines, sometimes in reverse no camera at all. I've grown used to it. If it's like mine, it will act normal next time, or soon.

Is it only at night? Could it be the auto-exposure trying to make things visible in low light?

I think I've seen it go grainy at times as well. My biggest gripe is when it actually just doesn't work when in reverse similar to donaldp's.

Had the reverse camera module replaced under warranty last year and it's been sporadically happening again.

It's at all times. Mine didn't work once. Just once, then it started to work again. I guess this is a common minor problem then.

Mine goes on the fritz randomly as well... was going to have it looked at during the 15K service. Picture is clear though when it is not garbled. Reminds me of adjusting the bunny ears on the TV at my grandparents house when I was a kid.
