I did look at them, very nice. The dyno runs seems very tame. The engine did not sound like it was wound up much. It was a very high quality video.

So, this is a AWD dyno and it loads all four wheels?

P.S. nice color

I'll have to ask if it's an AWD load, or just has rollers for the fronts, the rear definitely had the load though. Problem with the tame stock exhaust, is that the whine of the dyno easily eclispes the engine sound. In the lower gears you can hear the "Brrp" pretty well before the ambient noise kicks in.

Sounds like good times! Was Jason there? Any boost logs? Those dyno curves look different than Jason's car on the same dyno. Was he running 3rd gear? His horsepower peak is at higher RPM. Check it out.

This is about right given the drivetrain loss.... remember this is a DSG car also.... Not sure what doesn't make sense....

Thanks for sharing NWSguy, looking forward to the graphs... later Ron
One of your numbers is wrong up there.

But that's about right - about 18% drivetrain loss on an AWD car is to be expected. That's what my Volvo V70R runs as well...although I have additional losses since it's an auto.

I wouldn't expect too many losses from the STronic vs. a Manual Trans since the STronic uses clutches for power transmission unlike a torque converter auto. It just has an extra one.

4th gear pulls for these, I didn't hook my VCDS to pull logs, I should have though I'll have to do these some other time.

For some reason I am pushing more TQ than his, and less HP.

I am pretty sure that is an Mustang MD-500 AWD dyno. You do not run AWDs on 2WD dynos. It has front and rear rollers.

It is a Mustang dyno, which typically read lower anyway

It has front roller, but this doesn't mean those are under load. They do a LOT of Audi work here, so I am betting it's an AWD dyno, but I'll ask.

Yes, Mustang's do "tend to read lower," but they have a B8 S4 6MT at their shop they did on this dyno back in Nov of 09 which read about 10WHP higher and 10 WTQ lower than mine - go figure.

What number is wrong? IMO the DSG will still be slightly lower than a manual car....

You divided 276 / and 286 / 333. It should have been 276 / 333 for power and 286 / 325 for torque.

Or if you were just doing HP #'s, it should have been 274 / 333 and 276 / 333.
