Black/Silver Interior - Help Please....
Hi folks, I'm getting close to placing an order for a B8 S4. I am struggling with the interior color combinations. My current car is a '01 B5 S4 with the silver interior. I went with that color to keep the inside heat gain to a minimum, plus it looks sharp. The leather/color has actually held up very well. The car now has 185k miles and the only negative is wear on the DS bolster. Overall the furniture still looks great.
I am considering Black/Silver on the B8 and want to get some feedback from folks who have this color combo.
I have done some searching here and have read about jeans/denim staining the silver leather. I have also read that with care there is no issue. I was talking to a dealer yesterday and he said he had a client who spilled some coffee on the seat, did not care for it right away and it stained the silver leather.
I have spilled lots of coffee in my B5 with no sustained issues. I am meticulous at maintaining and cleaning my car.
Would love to get some feedback on this issue.
Thank you in advance.

If you're meticulous you can probably get whatever you want and have few issues. That said, I've heard of more issues with the silver Alcantara staining from jeans than the leather. Personally, I went black leather because you can't go wrong with it, even though I live in Florida. With tint it wont be much of an issue, though I do park in a garage both at home and at work.

I have the silver and don't have any problems as long as you take care of it. I usually don't drink coffee in my car but if I did I wouldn't be like that guy and just leave it on anyways. So I don't see any issues.

The staining issue is also a concern of mine. However, I've been told that regular upkeep with Lexol conditioner/cleaner should prevent any stains. I only have 600 miles on the car, so the seats obviously still look brand new. I think with regular upkeep you should be fine. And, of course, the black/silver is a killer combo!

I have the black/silver alcantara. Love it. It's also very easy to care for. I've gotten a few things on it and they came out with a little soup and water. After 7K miles the seats still look brand new.

Who would ever have thought to use soup to remove a stain? What type works best, chicken noodle, or beef?
