I work for a rather large cell phone company, and phones simply aren't what they used to be. Back in the day they were static devices meant to make wireless calls. However now a days they are "smart phones" requiring constant attention. As owners we forget that software and operating systems require upgrades and patches. Just as your computer requires updates so does your phone. Try visiting your local wireless provider and downloading the latest bundle. (Always backup first) Some cell phone companies do provide update tools separate from the wireless providers.
You'll often be shocked that simple problems that have often frustrate you disappear with a newer bundle. One of the major complaints is bluetooth and is often fixed in later revisions.
I hope this helps someone

I have a Samsung Epic 4g (2.1) and I'm having the phone book problems. Bluetooth is working, but my contacts are not accessible through the car. It was never a problem with my HTC Touch Pro 2. I hope this will be fixed with 2.2, if it ever gets released.

My HTC Incredible still does not work with my S4. It worked for the first 5 months and now it connects but then gets dumped. I have researched and found that the HTC phones have a bluetooth stack problem. Something with the way blue tooth was loaded on the phones from the factory. I called HTC and they are aware of the problem. This was 4 months ago and I was told there would be a fix in two weeks. This will be my first and last HTC phone. I'm hoping Verizon gets the Iphone soon or I will go back to Motorola.

Well, it happened to me too. It was working fine, then all of a sudden, no connection. It would remain paired but the phone wouldn't connect to the car. Did some research and it seems like it's an HTC problem, not an Audi problem. I went to my Verizon dealer who was very good about checking the phone. She concluded it was the phone and they're going to ship me a brand new one. I'm worried that it's going to be a problem for the new one as well, but she tells me that she thinks it's just a bad phone, not inherent to the Incredible. I'll see how it goes.

My incredible worked flawlessly at first, then all of a sudden would connect for like 30 seconds and then drop the connection. I had to factory reset my phone, but it works flawlessly again now.

About a month ago I thought I would give it one more try. So I turned on bluetooth and BAM!, it connected. I lost connection a few times but for the most part it works. When I called HTC 6 months ago they acknowledged there was an issue and it was not the car. They said there would be a fix. Maybe they sent an update and I did not know it. It sucks though that I have to hold my breath every time I start up the car to see if the phone connects.

I did the factory reset and everything is working again...for now. It's been about a week, so that's good so far. Thanks.
