They are not the only ones. This is happening all across the board. Manufactures are finally seeing that there is no reason for Audi and Subaru to corner the market and that AWD is now considered as a safety feature that people want on their daily vehicles. Technology has now made it cost effective to have AWD in everyday cars. Needless to say, not all AWD systems are created equal, which is exactly why I am not yet ready to move from Quattro to X-Drive just yet.

Actually, I was thinking of the previous BMW M1, but you're correct. It is a tank too.

At least Porsche can be happy about no longer building the ugliest $100K+ "family car".

Porsche discontinued the Panarama? If so, great. I don't like that car anyway. Porsche should stick to building sports cars (including their Carreras, which are basically "sport/utility sports cars" and the only sport/utilities Porsche should be building). Yes, I also dislike the Cayenne.

I think he means that Ferrari now builds the ugliest 100k+ 'family car'. Porsche is still making the Panamera, and I was under the impression that it is actually doing quite well in sales.

Yes I meant the 1 M Coupe lol and I thing the "AWD" tank treads would be better than quattro in northeastern winters lol.

X-Drive is terrible though. I am a BMW enthusiast as well as Audi and I know the xdrive needs a lot of work to be good. I didnt like it at all.
