It was bound to happen... accident. And a question
A yellow cab tried to pass me on the right while I was turning into my garage.
Damage is all cosmetic, but they do need to straighten the area over the right pass. wheel well and also replace the rear wheel (which took the brunt of the hit).
They estimate cost at 2K.
Question: do I bring it to an audi dealer? They just send it out to a body shop anyway or should I just go to a local body place I know thats approved by the dealer. REmember, there are no parts being swapped out, just fixed and painted.
Audi or body shop? Reflex says Audi, but if they just farm it out, why bother.

if you are gonna do a claim on it then just go for the most reputable place you know... guess you can always ask the dealer where they send their cars with body damage. hopefully that will work for you. but yeah most audi dealer outsource that kind of work.

Body shop for sure -- Audi won't do any body work, they will send it out. Ask around for recommendations on the best body shop in your area and take it there.

Some Audi dealers do have body shops, the one I go to does and it is supposedly top notch.... However, I would probably still send it to a bodyshop.... Just letting you know.... later Ron
