Default Brake Light still on after replacing pads

So at under 25K miles, my "Brake Pads" service light came on. I have since replaced my pads (opted not to do rotors to the brake shop's chagrin), but the service light is still on. Do I have to go to the dealership to get this turned off?

Did you get pads with wear sensors in them? to plug into the harness?

No, I think that was separate. Is it much work to add the sensors after you already installed new pads? Sounds like I will have to buy those too and have them installed.

The wear sensors are embedded inside the pads, so you will need to switch the pads.

Default No they are not..

you can buy the sensor, or reuse the old one. Additionally, it clips in to the brake pad, really easy, acts as a big resistor.
