If you put a radio station that doesn't exist (and which is quiet, not all static) into your radio presets and tune to that before you turn the car off it will seem like nothing is on when you turn the car on.

LOL Good luck finding a radio station that doesn't exist! Isn't that like listening for the sound of one hand clapping?

What's sorta worked for me is using the steering wheel **** to turn the volume all the way down until you see the mute sign come on in the dash display. The radio will still come on after restarts, but at a very low volume. When it does, just lower it with the steering wheel know again.

But, we need a real fix guys! Now, if someone could find that mythic VAG-COM code...
