Default Carbon Atlas vs. SS/Piano Black

Any thoughts on choice of inserts in a Lava Grey/Black interior ?

I would've picked the carbon atlas inserts if I had the option, but I took what they had at the time which was the SS.

Thanks. Funny, I was leaning to SS but they only have the Carbon ! I think they are both great.

You can't go wrong with either. I had the Carbon Atlas on my 2010 S4, and now have the SS w/ Piano Black on my 2013 S4. I'm really liking the change. The Piano does show dust and fingerprints, but it's not really an issue. The Piano instrument panel surround is a MAJOR improvement over the standard matte silver one...really sets the interior apart from the other trim options. The textured SS is quite nice too. It doesn't have quite as much depth as the Carbon, but the texture changes its look/feel under different lighting conditions: cool matte in shade to sparkly bling in sun. I'd say the Carbon has a slightly more casual/sporty look, whereas the SS/Piano has a more business-like/modern/tech look. My two cents. Good luck with your decision.

I've got stainless tex and was against it at first but it's growing on me.
the piano black is definitely a fingerprint & dust magnet but it looks dead sexy. I need to get my instrument panel done.
You can't go wrong with any of the options IMO, that being said - I think carbon fiber's getting played out...
I'd like to see a dark metallic gray stained quarter-sawn/flame white oak in a matte finish (anyone following that?).
