Default ipod

I have lots of CDs and ripped the ones I liked to an ipod. It worked so good that I have a permanent one in the car and a second one that I take to work. I think a CD changer would be a waste of money.

Default Unless you don't want to rip files from an Audio CD.

I had about 300 vinyl records, I got rid of about 20 years ago. Since then I have replaced most of those records with CDs, now I need to transfer all that music to another format for the car. It is a lot of extra work/hours, when one could just use a CD changer. I really do not see much use for an Ipod. The option of using SD card to transfer files, if I really want to waste a bunch of time transfering the music from CDs to the computer to SD card to Audi MMI, might useful, if a changer is too much of a pain to add.

Well said and thank you. I am not against people who want to spend the time burning and copying music files onto iPod's and MP3 players, but don't make me do it, please. CD's are not obsolete and one should have the choice of playing them or ripping music if that's what they choose. I hate dealing with iTunes and similar software and don't have the time to deal with that stuff. Give me a CD changer anytime and I'll shut up.

Good! Personally, I'd refuse to ever have a record player installed in my dash. IMO, it would be too clumsy and awkward to use - esp. while driving!

In fact, you shouldn't get 19" wheels if you think a phonograph is a mod you'd like in the future. I can see now why WatchNut would pause before putting 19s on his S4. I'd worry about the ride, esp. potholes - which could cause annoying skipping and possible scratching of your records! Serious!!!

6-pack changers are cool but had to replace twice in my Nissan Titan due to malfunction, under warranty of course. This new SD card management and jukebox system in the MMI is awesome in that you can don't have to carry/change a hundred CD's in your visor, glovebox or console to listen to all of your favorite tunes.6-CD changers are still cool though-had them in my 4 previous cars.
