Um, I thought for APR it was just a straight $1500 + shipping it to them, they flash and pay for shipping it back. Am I mistaken?

One thing to note is that once the APR switching is available I expect the price to increase(or for the price of a single program to decrease) With the 2.0ts each extra calibration costs additional money. Best bet is to wait for an APR holiday sale

Asking about your lease payment is a pretty nebulous without also knowing the MSRP of the car. There is quite a range in cost on an S4 from a $46K stripped model to over $60K fully loaded model. Length of lease and mileage/yr also figure in significantly. Plus the amount of down money will also affect the monthly payment. Premium + packages have higher residuals than Prestige. This means, if you are looking to get into an S4 at a lower monthly payment, get a Premium +, 42-48 months. 10K or 12K miles/month and put down $1-$2K at lease inception. There is an Audi loyalty credit of $750 for current Audi owners. I got an BMW bounty credit for owning a BMW. Not sure if the BMW bounty credit still exists. My $50k MSRP Prem costs me $717/month and includes Audi Care(1% higher residual with this) . Also includes 9% PA lease tax($658 without tax). 10K miles/yr and 42 months. $1700 money down at lease inception that included the first month payment. But that was done back in March. Rates and promotions change. The s4 has become a very desirable and scarce car to get. So my figures may not have relevance at this time.

Just curious, but if you leased your car why did you pay any sales tax up front? Shouldn't that have been added monthly to your payment?

The way sales tax is paid on lease varies from state to state. AFS owns the car and in my case they pay the tax up front and pass the cost along to me. I could have built it into the monthly payments but opted to pay it.

The finance guy at dealer I purchased from explained it as "AFS Lease Loyalty incentive". It was a complete surprise and I didn't want to question whether he was really sure about giving me that extra $500.

Since I moved from New york to chicago, I get the added bonus of paying sales tax on my lease payments...$67 extra a month. Illinois also makes you pay sales tax on the full price of the car even if it's leased. So 100% sales tax up front, then they tax you for the privilege of paying that amount back. You almost have to admire ***** like that.
